South Hampton POA Bulletin HVAC Repair

HVAC (RISER REPAIR UPDATE) Wednesday May 26th 2021

Hello South Hampton Owners,
The vendor working on the HVAC riser project got all the new valves installed and water put back into the system around 10 pm last night.  They are back on-site working with Four of a Kind maintenance to get inside any units they didn’t get into yesterday and to tie up any other loose ends.  Air conditioning for the entire building will be operational today and we truly appreciate your understanding and patience while this important work was completed.  If you see any issues in your unit please let us or Four of a Kind know so we can help.
Thank you,

HVAC Riser Repair Monday
May 24th 2021

Hello South Hampton Owners,
As we discussed in the recent Annual Meeting ZOOM call we have some building wide HVAC work that has to be done as soon as possible at South Hampton.  All the parts required for this work have arrived in Myrtle Beach and the Board has directed Cayce to schedule the work to begin Monday May 24th at 7 am.  Cayce will be bringing in 3 crews to do this work as quickly and efficiently as possible for everyone.

Monday morning, May 24th, they will drain the closed loop HVAC system so they can install 2 new valves that will allow us to drain stacks faster for this job and also in the future.  Once the draining is completed the building will be without HVAC inside common areas and units.  Cayce will start on the road side 01 and 02 stacks (units ending in 01 and 02) to install the necessary new valves for each riser stack.  Once that is completed they will turn the water back on to those 01 and 02 stacks and move towards the ocean doing the same thing.  When they finish with the valves and put water back in each riser they will need to go into each unit to release pressure and flush the system out for you.  Their workers will be accompanied by Four of a Kind and hotel employees while this work is completed.  Please make your guests aware of their need to go inside and also that the HVAC will be down for as short a time period as possible.  We will also need to have the entire under building area closed off to parking while this work is completed so please be aware and help us move any cars underneath by Sunday night at 8 pm.

The HOA will keep everyone informed of the progress via email bulletin as work is completed.  If you have specific questions please contact John Taylor at 843-448-9000 ext. 161 or Chris Millar at 843-448-9000 ext. 114 so they can try to help.
Thank you for you understanding and we know everyone will love the increased efficiency of the HVAC units and quicker stack draining for future repairs.
