The 2024 Annual Members’ Meeting of the South Hampton Property Owners’ Association, Inc. has been scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 1:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Embassy Suites located at 9800 Queensway Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.  An official notice of the meeting will be sent to you in April, 2024. Included in that mailing will be your proxy. It is important that each of you whether you do or do not plan to attend the meeting, return your proxy as the meeting can only be conducted after the establishment of a quorum of fifty percent (50%) of the membership. The due date of the proxy will be included in the next mailing. Prior to this meeting, it is necessary to solicit volunteers who are willing to run for election to the Board of Directors.

The primary purpose of this meeting is to allow the Membership to elect Directors of the Association and to transact any business, which may come before the meeting.

Regarding Board of Directors’ membership:

• All nominees must agree to have their name placed into nomination and should be current in assessment payments. 
• Be able to attend in person or virtually a majority of the following:
  • Four (4) formal Board Meetings per year
  • One (1) Annual Members Meeting
  • One (1) Town Hall meeting per year 
  • An occasional Special Meeting if needed
  • Two (2) working sessions / status update meetings per month
• This year it will be necessary to elect two (2) Directors, each for a two (2) year term, as the terms of the Suzanne Nichols and Chuck Campagna will be expiring at this meeting. 
• Directors receive no compensation for their services.
• Attached is an application for those wishing to be nominated for the Board of Directors. If you are interested in serving as a member of the Association’s Board of Directors, please complete the attached form, and return it to the Association Office no later than April 12, 2024, either by mail or email, [email protected].
