Myrtle Beach October Events 2021…..
Happy Halloween!

Summer is winding down in the Myrtle Beach and Grand Strand area.  October is filled with many fall and Halloween events to consider.  Many are family friendly and some are SPOOKY!


Harvest Home Weekend Festival
October 2 – 3, 2021
Where: Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet, SC
Head to Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet for seasonally themed activities and fun. This weekend-long fall festival will include a huge pumpkin patch where kids can pick out their own pumpkin to paint and design ($5 for small pumpkins, $9 for large). Activities include an over the top scarecrow building contest ($5) and hayrides ($4) throughout the weekend. Kid-friendly entertainment and great food will also be available. Festival attendance is free with gardens admission.  

21st Annual Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala
October 7, 2021
Where: The Reserve Golf Club of Pawleys Island
When: Event begins at 7:00 p.m.
The Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala will feature over 75 wines, select hors d’oeuvres, and incredible desserts to sample and taste. The event, which benefits The Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art, will include a silent auction with prizes like vacations, artwork, local cruises, and more. Tickets are $100 per person and include wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, and dessert tasting.

16th Annual Little River ShrimpFest
October 9 – 10, 2021
Where: Historic Little River Waterfront
When: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Grab a plate of delicious fresh local seafood at the 16th Annual Little River ShrimpFest. Held along the Historic Little River Waterfront, this fall celebration of everything shrimp will include fresh local seafood from local waterfront restaurants, along with festival food classics, two stages of live music, a children’s’ area, face painting, balloon artists, and much more! The festival will also feature a wide variety of arts and crafts vendors, business expos, and community organizations. Festival admission is $5 +fee per person in advance for 1 day of admission; children ages 12 and under are free.

5th Annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival
October 15 – 17, 2021
Where: Charlie’s Place at 1420 Carver Street, Myrtle Beach, SC
What started out as a free backyard jam, the Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival continues to bring the local community together through a celebration of music, fellowship, dancing, and local vendors, now for its fifth year. Past performers have included violinists, saxophonists, and bands. Admission is free for all to attend.

Annual Loris Bog-Off Festival
October 16, 2021
Where: Downtown Loris
Make plans to attend one of the Grand Strand’s biggest food festivals. With over 200 vendors, live music, a children’s area, entertainment, and hearty helpings of chicken bog, the Loris Bog-Off Festival is a can’t miss extravaganza celebrating the famous southern dish. The event will end with fireworks and a free concert. Admission is free.

Conway Ghost Walk
October 21-23 2021
Annual ghost story festival in downtown Conway, with ghost walks led by professional storytellers. Adults $15, children (12 and under) $7. More details

Atalaya Fall Festival and Haunted Castle
October 29-30 2021
Halloween festival at Huntington Beach State Park, with haunted house, carnival games, crafts and other children’s activities, plus food and a bonfire. More details
